Adult Service Projects "Camp" (Sept. 2 - 8, 2012)

The Montana Learning Center at Canyon Ferry Lake (MLC) offers you an opportunity to have fun, learn about Montana’s natural environment and volunteer work time to improve a wonderful lakeside educational facility.  Participants choose from a variety of work opportunities (15 buildings; 10 acres), eat sumptuous meals/snacks, participate in educational activities, socialize and recreate or just relax.  This camp is modeled after the Roads Scholar/Elderhostel Service Project program held at MLC the past two Septembers.

                  

Included in cost package is:
Housing:
each couple lives in a separate house - twin beds; two singles/house with separate bedrooms
Wholesome meals/snacks:
3 hearty meals with a.m. and p.m. snacks
Educational Experiences:
pontoon boat ride; local excursions; invited speakers, etc.
Recreational opportunities available:
swimming, canoeing, fishing, campfire on beach, tennis, hiking opportunities; etc.
Other amenities:
  Wi-Fi; computers; phone land line & cell service; on-site washing machines and dryers

TOTAL/PERSON for 7 days and 6 nights: $450

Airport Transportation (Helena Airport): negotiable
Volunteer work situation:
List of various tasks listed on a board; individuals, couples or small teams make a choice each day.
Registration Deadline:
  August 1 with $100/person deposit (Full deposit returned in case of dire emergency.) REMAINDER of payment due: August 15.
