Funded by a Qwest Communiations grant, the Math and Science Leadership Workshop identifies future leaders in math and science education. Under the direction of Dick Seitz, these “Ambassadors” will hone skills need to promote excellence in math and science to K-12 teaches and community members.
Investigate properties and daily applications of sound/water/light waves, reflections and refractions, optics involving lenses and mirrors, lasers while having water and hiking fun activities along with campfires.

The summer of 2012 YNA Camp promises to be one of our best ones yet! In addition to canoeing and swimming in the lake, students will experiment and discover about some of the cycles that are present in nature. As we explore the ecosystems around the Montana Learning Center, we will investigate are the life cycle, of both plants and animals. Trees/forests and fire will be investigated as well as insects and birds) the rock cycle (students will learn how to identify rocks), and the water cycle (students will learn about properties of water including states of matter and weather phenomena).
